So, after getting skunked on interviews for the Eastern APA, I started making plans for Chicago. However, to my horror, I realized that the Central APA (having been moved up in the calendar) now coincides with the publication date of the February JFP. In short, I take it that interviews will be limited?
Has anyone else thought any about this unhappy coincidence?

Don't forget that ads may be up online before the meetings even if the JFP is not out.

Also, don't forget that the vast majority of the jobs advertised in Feb. JFP are visiting positions, and so departments are more likely just to do flyouts or phone interviews then flyouts rather than APA drudgery.

and don't forget that jobs are often cross-posted with job sites like the Chronicle for Higher Ed, Philosophy Updates, and Higher Ed Jobs.
