Maybe it's just me, but splitting a hotel room with a total stranger that I met on the internet doesn't sound particularly safe. And philosophers tend to be pretty weird anyway. Maybe you should just invite your willing victims to private message you.

I'll get you some earplugs then. What about the shrine I'll construct in the corner of the room to Krishna, my ancestors, Yahweh, and anyone else who might be able to get me a job? Will that weird you out? The incense will actually smell pretty good. The burning animal fat, not so much...

I have some friends in the area, and I plan to stay with them. That worked out pretty well for me; I'm glad I don't have to pay even more for the joy of the APA.
